The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Yoav Mordechai, visited with the US Ambassador to the Middle East, Mr. Jason Greenblatt, at the Gilboa crossing.
The visit was attended by the Minister of Transport and Road Safety, Mr. Israel Katz, the head of the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria, Brigadier General Ben Hur Achvat, and the head of the Land Transfer Authority at the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General (res.) Kamil Abu Rokun.
During the visit, the coordinator reviewed the situation in the northern West Bank from the security, economic and civilian aspects, as well as the initiatives that Israel is leading, as part of the civilian policy to develop the economy and improve the fabric of life in the region. These include: Jalameh Industrial Zone, a recently operated electricity substation, and future projects as a power station and a future railway.
